Casey Pereira joined Silicon Valley Ballet as an Apprentice in 2015 after completing two years in the Silicon Valley Ballet School Trainee Program. As a trainee, Casey performed in Karen Gabay’s The Nutcracker, Ben Stevenson's Cinderella, and George Balanchine’s Serenade. Casey has also performed various lead roles in Silicon Valley Ballet School productions including Odette in Swan Lake, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Pas de trois in Le Conservatoire, and Nikiya in La Bayadère. In 2014, she was awarded the Erma Weil Scholarship.
Casey was born in South Lake Tahoe, California and received her early ballet lessons from Robin Price. She continued her training with the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City and The San Francisco Ballet School where she performed works by George Balanchine, Helgi Tomasson, and August Bournonville. She has attended summer intensives at the Kirov Academy of Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet School, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, The San Francisco Ballet School, and The Silicon Valley Ballet School.
