SpectorDance Choreographer's Showcase

The SVB Trainees will be performing a work by choreographer and Principal Faculty Mads Eriksen at the SpectorDance Choreographer's Showcase. The Choreographer’s Showcase is an established dance event on the Monterey Peninsula featuring artists from our region and across the nation. The vision of the Showcase is to support dance artists on every level, heighten awareness of the unique beauty and power of contemporary dance, and to establish a new West Coast center for dance exchange.

Unify Dance Concert

SVB School students are excited to be performing for the fifth year at the Unify Dance Concert at the Montgomery Theatre! Come support four talented young dancers as they showcase classical variations in preparation for the prestigious Youth American Grand Prix competition. The Unify Dance Concert is a concert of works by various local collegiate, high school, professional and pre-professional dance companies. The concert is designed for talented local dance artists to showcase their completed works and new works in progress. The performance will feature multiple styles of dance including contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, and much more. Come support the Bay Area Arts Community and see some of the best aspiring artists.

Up Close and Personal, 
Dance and Music Demonstration among the Quilts

Join the SVB Trainees in an improvisational dance and music demonstrations inspired by the innovative exhibitions on display at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. This is a First Friday event, so get in on the fun at this vibrant downtown arts event, where admission fees are waived and local artists share their work with an enthusiastic crowd.

A technique taught by Artistic Director José Manuel Carreño. Master Classes are appropriate for all dance students ages 11 and up. Pointe shoes are not required, but may be worn by experienced dancers at the discretion of the Master Teacher. Photos and autographs to follow.

Cost: $100 to participate, $25 to observe.

Train with Principal Dancer Ommi Pipit-Suksun, in a class inspired by the experience of preparing for Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland). Master Classes are appropriate for all dance students ages 11 and up.
