Under the direction of Artistic Director José Manuel Carreño, this Cuban production of Giselle celebrates the rich Latino heritage of the internationally renowned Ballet Nacional de Cuba, and its founder, the iconic choreographer and prima ballerina assoluta, Alicia Alonso. In an historic moment celebrating the opening of relations between the US and Cuba, this production will be the first program presented by Silicon Valley Ballet under its new name. José Manuel Carreño and his brother, principal dancer Joel Carreño, will perform together in select performances.
