Lahna Vanderbush

Lahna Vanderbush joined Silicon Valley Ballet (then known as Ballet San Jose) in 2009 and has performed roles including the Flower Girl in Don Quixote, the Yellow Girl in Jerome Robbins' Interplay, Stomper in Twyla Tharp's In the Upper Room, as well as roles in Paquita, George Balanchine's Who Cares?, Jorma Elo's Glow-Stop, Jessica Lang's Eighty One, Ohad Naharin's Minus 16, George Balanchine's Serenade, Paul Taylor's Piazzolla Caldera, and Igal Perry's Infinity. Ms. Vanderbush has also worked with the Alberta Ballet where she performed in Jean Grand-Maitre's The Fiddle and the DrumCarmen, and was a White Angel in his Dangerous Liaisons. She was also a lead fairy in Christopher Wheeldon's A Midsummer's Night's Dream, Klara in Edmund Stripe's The Nutcracker, as well as the Dormouse in Stripe's Alice in Wonderland.

Ms. Vanderbush has also worked with the Eugene Ballet Company, Collage Dance Collective, and the Norwegian National Ballet. She was born in Nagoya, Japan, and grew up in Eugene, Oregon, where she began her ballet training at the Eugene Ballet Academy. Ms. Vanderbush continued her training at the San Francisco Ballet School under the direction of Gloria Govrin and Lola de Avila.
