Train with the best, and make 2016 your best summer ever! A variety of Intensives, Workshops, classes, and camps for students of all ages and levels make Silicon Valley Ballet School the place to dance in the summer.


2016 Summer Intensive, July 5-30

High quality, pre-professional ballet training featuring the renowned American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, for serious ballet students ages 11-22. The Summer Intensive can be the first step towards placement in the Trainee Program and Pre-Professional Division. Meet friends to last a lifetime; optional dormitory housing is available, offering a vibrant chaperoned experience with optional weekend excursions and activities. José Manuel Carreño Male Dancer Training Initiative Scholarships may be awarded to qualifying applicants. All Summer Intensive students are cast to perform in the Summer Intensive Showcase, providing the opportunity to build performance skills as well as technique. Admission is by audition only. 

2016 Fast Track Technique Workshop, Aug. 1-5 and/or Aug. 8-12

Open to all dance students ages 11-22, the Fast Track Technique Workshop offers a premiere training experience. Get a competitive edge and improve your ballet technique at an intensive full-day workshop with Silicon Valley Ballet School’s world class ABT Certified Faculty. 

For any any dance student interested in overall enhancement of their technique, including dancers specializing in other forms of dance, competition dancers looking for a technical edge, and students thinking about pursuing a dance major, the Fast Track Technique Workshop provides the opportunity to develop as a technician and an artist.No audition required. Sign up for one or two weeks.

2016 ABT Young Dancer Summer Workshop, June 20-July 1

The opportunity for serious young dancers, ages 9-11, and 12-year olds at the beginning pointe level, to actively flourish in a professional, yet nurturing environment. The outstanding faculty members of ABT will provide unparalleled instruction while remaining sensitive to the developmental needs of young dancers.

2016 Performance Camp, June 13-17 and/or August 1-5

A fun-filled dancing day camp for boys and girls ages 5-10, with or without dance experience, who love to perform! Two developmentally appropriate class levels provide exceptional teacher/camper interaction. Campers experience individual attention in a caring, energetic, and creative environment. 

Performance Camp provides classes and rehearsals, preparing students for a special performance held on Friday for you in the audience. Your child will make new friends while they develop their love of dance, as well as their technique, learning from Silicon Valley Ballet School’s world-class professional faculty. 

2016 Summer Sessions, June-August 

Weekly or twice weekly classes for students ages 1-11. Continue training over the summer, or try out training at Silicon Valley Ballet School with only a four-week minimum commitment required. Flexible scheduling accommodates summer plans; you may choose to attend any or all of the weeks of classes offered, with a four-week minimum registration requirement.

2016 August After-School Intensive, August 15-19 and/or Aug. 22-26

An intensive afternoon workshop for dance students ages 11-22, featuring premiere training with our expert Faculty. The August After-School Intensive offers the opportunity to build technique and artistry, gearing up for your best season of dance yet. Classes will include a 1.5 hour technique class, followed by a one hour class each day which may include Pilates, Floor Barre, Variations, Pointe, or Men’s Class. Sign up for one or two weeks. No audition required. 

Drop-In Classes

Open enrollment ballet and pilates classes for students ages teen to adult are available on a drop-in basis year-round. Classes on Wednesdays are appropriate for absolute beginners.
